Planning- My makeup ideas

The makeup for the actors is important to support our ideas for our music video and help it look professional and appealing whilst reinforcing our target audience, here are my initial makeup ideas for our actors:

Jo- As Jo is our main actress I want her to stand out, I was inspired by Cheryl Cole's makeup for her music video as it's bold, intriguing and inventive, the glitter creates a mask around her eyes supporting our surreal theme and the other masked actors. I like this idea as the audience would be captured by Jo's makeup as she will be the only actor not wearing a masked made out of material, the mixture of silver and dark blue around her eyes reflects our 'indie' genre. Here are the images that inspired me for this idea:

Here our my ideas for the other actors: I would like them to wear different masks e.g the rabbit one or paint their face using bright coloured face paints to look similar to the clown. I also like the idea of using lots of glitter and bright vibrant makeup to support the surreal images and song 'UFO.'

This is an example of one of the masks or painted makeup we want to achieve. The makeup is dynamic, vivid and colourful supporting the surreal effect and targeting our 'student' audience.

This is the rabbit mask used for our DigiPack and video. We felt it was important as it intrigues the audience and supports our 'indie/alternative' genre. It is also most accessible as it could suit both male and female actors . The white releases a dream like atmosphere contrasting against the red frightening eyes.

These are the two masks our actors can use to exaggerate and amplify their costumes , the black would support the dark, eerie characters and the gold the slightly more pleasant characters e.g fairy, this variety increases the strange atmosphere and interesting shots.
